The problem was still there after changing the new VM IP, DNS, or even MAC address. </p><p>The problem is mainly caused by same SID with source computer. Microsoft does not support changing a computers SID outside of a new deployment scenario using the Sysprep tool. The source computer have either to be reprovisioned or taken off from the network immediately after the P2V deployment, to avoid SID clashing in the same network.</p><p><a href="http://blogs.technet.com/b/scvmm/archive/2009/01/13/p2v-conversion-and-the-source-computer.aspx">http://blogs.technet.com/b/scvmm/archive/2009/01/13/p2v-conversion-and-the-source-computer.aspx</a></p><p> </p>yjkohhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10558718805542749378noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6306400099973153383.post-69650776108967745592011-02-27T05:47:00.000-08:002011-02-27T06:04:06.668-08:00Intel Thunderbolt is here!<p><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FOHVbKKAQvo/TWpWgPdUpII/AAAAAAAAACw/pyOTvPY4KFg/s1600/thunderbolt-icon-2011-02-24.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 111px; height: 183px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FOHVbKKAQvo/TWpWgPdUpII/AAAAAAAAACw/pyOTvPY4KFg/s400/thunderbolt-icon-2011-02-24.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5578366200357102722" /></a>Thunderbolt is a familiar-looking port, a brand-new chip, and a cord, which allows devices to pipe two data streams simultaneously in both directions with <strong><span style="color:#ff0000;"><span style="font-size:130%;">over a single cable at up to 10 gigabits per second to start</span></span></strong>, primarily using PCI Express x4 for data and DisplayPort for video. The Thunderbolt controller chip is required for the system, but Intel says it's hardware-agnostic and doesn't require an Intel processor or chipset to use, similar like a miniature router of sorts that rapidly switches between the two bidirectional channels of data.</p><p><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 264px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nMyVnNXQO6c/TWpYP1AFqhI/AAAAAAAAAC4/Yz9vIKcbwUw/s400/2-24-11-intel-thunderbolt-600.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5578368117400513042" /><br /></p><p>Intel Thunderbolt previously was known as Light Peak, the Thunderbolt will be shipped together along with new MacBook Pro model. Here is the list of common issues which I encountered during deployment. The setup log can be found in the following location. </span></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span><span></span></span> </div><div style="text-align: justify;">\windows\system32\ccmsetup\ccmsetup.logThis is the common I had encountered. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">1. To check the computer whether WINS is disabled, go to command prompt and type ipconfig /all, and make sure WINS proxy enabled is NO.
